North America Rocks With AC/DC
AC/DC is one of those bands that everyone has heard of, and most people love. Their fans are spread worldwide. They are one of the most popular metal bands in music history. Their music, recorded, is amazing, but seeing them perform live is a completely different story. It is an experience you will never forget. Fans know they must do what it takes to get their hands on tickets and be at AC/DC’s live performances.
AC/DC started, as a band, back in 1973. Two brothers, Angus and Malcolm Young, had a passion for music and just went with it. Since then the band has become globally renowned. The talent, that each member has, is unbeaten by any other metal band out there. It is this talent and passion that drives AC/DC and what makes them who they are today
The Black Ice Tour was AC/DC’s most recent tour to date. In fact, it did not come to an end until 2010. The tour was — originally — scheduled to end before winter. However, the tour was so successful that a winter extension had been added. The AC/DC winter extension began in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in December, and finalized in Nashville at the end of January. Fans in Cleveland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and even Ontario were excited to see the band come their way too. Everyone, in North America, will have their chance to see AC/DC perform live during this tour.
This tour has made records, yet again, for the band. The first 18 shows sold out so quickly many weren’t even aware of the tour stops yet. This is one of the reasons the winter extension was added to the tour. But, AC/DC gives to their fans in such a way that they even extended their stay in many major cities during their regular tour time. Cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oakland hosted the band for more shows than were originally scheduled, and fans were thrilled. Fans, for years, have had the pleasure of experiencing AC/DC live, and many of these fans are still showing up to their shows.
Whether a metal fan or not, AC/DC is special. Their passion, for music, puts them at the top of the list for metal bands in music history. Even in years to come, AC/DC will be known as one of the legends of metal. Hearing their music on the radio or CD is one thing, but seeing them live is another.
