Mediocre Harry Potter Games
Harry Potter has become a household name. It has been a couple of years now and the franchise has never been more popular. New movies still need to come out and fans are waiting patiently.
Video games based on the movie have come out and are a pretty good depiction of the Harry Potter universe. But most of these games are a bit of a dissapointment.
Lets take a brief look at these Harry Potter games.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The games of course is based on the movie, but there are a couple of slight changes. Nothing that alters the main story too much, though. The biggest part of the game is about exploring. This can be quite boring and repetitive.
The graphics is nothing to be talk about, but they get the job done. The music on the other hand is quite good and fits in with the certain levels you are in.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Hogwarts is where the whole game takes place and it is up to you to explore the game by running and jumping. Of course there are spells that need to be learned and used to solve puzzles.
There are classroom sessions that will teach you new spells to use in the platforming sections. These platforming parts are based on quests where you have to collect items or complete tasks.
The graphics are okay, during the cutscenes the mouths of the characters do not even move.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
After a couple of games you would think that the developers would have a pretty good grasp on what works and what the fans do not like about the other Harry Potter games. Unfortunately for us they did not do that great of a job with this one.
The gameplay and controls of this game is clumsy and sluggish. They could have spent more time fine tuning and tweaking the controls to make it easier to explore the Harry Potter world.
The game play is not a total disaster as the spells are a lot better in the game. The further you progress the better the spells get. The visuals of the game are good but nothing special.
We just looked at some of the most played Harry Potter games. They are nothing spectacular but are fun in its own right.
