A Couple Of Short Motion Picture Summaries To Go Over

Livelier than most, this one has developed a cult notoriety. Miller later redid it for Television. Cast includes Yvette Miruieux, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Carradine, Frederic Chef, Severn Darden, Howard Hesseman, and Mary Woronov. R.’ (89 minutes,’76)
The Last Samurai: This is a true epic story of a lost soldier who winds up fighting a war in a far away land. Hired by the emperor of Japan to train his army, he is quickly captured by the Samurai he was training the army to defeat. Living amongst these great people he comes to believe in the way of the Samurai. He winds up fighting on their side, with all of his heart.
South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut: Our dynamic four are in top form in the first feature length film of the TV series. There is a new movie at the theater, a Terrence and Phillips film, and the boys are off to see it. When they arrive at the theater they can’t get in because of the R rating. They overcome this obstacle by paying off a street drunk to get the tickets for them. This is the boy’s first real intense introduction to foul language. They leave the movie fully trained in the new words, and use them whenever they can. This leads to outrage from the parents. Since Terrence and Phillip are Canadian, this ends with the US and Canada going to war.
Deep Crimson: Spectacularly distressing and upsetting real-life tale, based on the identical “Lonely Hearts” case that empowered The Honeymoon Killers, in regards to the murderous love event between a fat nurse and a gigolo who swindled prosperous, widows in’40s Mexico. Incredibly well performed and prompted research of I’ amour and the banality of sin. Bundles a wallop, and holds no punches in its brutal portrayal of the couple’s vicious descent into madness. Cast includes Jerzy Skolimowski, Jane Asher, John Moulder-Brown, Diana Dors, and Michael Vogler. (114 minutes,’96)
Dennis The Menace: This is a movie version of the’50’s comic strip. With his parents out of town Dennis is staying with the neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. As usual Dennis is making life miserable for poor Mr. Wilson.
The Saint: Master thief Simon Templar is close to retirement. He decides to take one last job, to properly fill his bank account. A Russian billionaire hires him to steal a formula for cold fusion from scientist Emma Russell. Two things change his plans. He falls in love with the beautiful scientist, and learns the potential disaster if this formula was in the wrong hands.
Happy Gilmore: Hockey player Happy Gilmore finds his slap shot power translates into 400 yard plus drives in golf. Needing money to help his grandma save her house, he is going to try pro golf. His putting is as bad as his driving is good, so he has a lot to learn. Overcoming all odds, Happy wins the tour championship and now can save grandma’s house.
Nothing to Lose: Nick Bearns is having a bad day. He just caught his wife in bed with his boss. Now he is being carjack while sitting at a stoplight. Angry and feeling he has nothing to lose; he turns the tables on the crook, and kidnaps him. Eventually these two misfits collaborate to get back at Nick’s boss is this fun filled comedy.
